How we work

1. Every fact carries a source

Records, dates, titles and measurements come from published sources, and those sources are named on the page where the fact appears. We use the official record keepers of each sport first, among them BoxRec for boxing, ESPN and the promotions themselves for mixed martial arts, and Glory for kickboxing, alongside Wikipedia and the Kurdish press.

2. We never fill a gap with a guess

If we cannot verify a birth date, a reach or a record, the field says it is not known. An empty field is honest. An invented one destroys the whole register.

3. Two sources where it matters

Titles, championship claims and career records are checked against at least two independent sources where those exist. Where only one source exists, we say which one it is.

4. We name Kurdish places

Fighters are described elsewhere through the state that governs their birthplace. We name the Kurdish city and the part of Kurdistan instead, and the country where a fighter lives or competes today. This is a naming decision, not a political claim, and it is applied consistently across the site.

5. Careers, not private lives

We write about what happens in the ring, the cage and the record book. Family, relationships, health and politics are not our subject, even when other outlets make them theirs.

6. Dates that mean something

Every page shows when it was last updated, and that date changes only when the content actually changes. We do not refresh dates to look current.

7. Corrections

If something here is wrong or out of date, tell us and we will fix it and note what changed. Fighters, their teams and their promotions are answered first and their corrections take priority over anything else in the queue.

8. Independence

Nothing on this site is paid for. Profiles cannot be bought, removed for payment, or written in exchange for access. Who publishes Kurdish MMA is stated openly on the about page.
